Judy Dreiling Lease has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2000, after more than a decade as Vice President of this family-owned and managed organization. Since 1987, she has been an integral part of Dreiling Medical Management Corporation, helping to guide the organization toward its current level of professional excellence.
Under Judy’s management, Dreiling maintains cost-effective business operations while assuring the highest standards of patient care and physician satisfaction throughout its network of dialysis units.

Building on the success of Dreiling’s existing facilities, Judy has set the organization on a measured course of expansion. Notwithstanding the challenges of a managed care health system, Judy’s expertise and knowledge have helped Dreiling-managed facilities maximize reimbursement and deliver excellent patient care in a customized working environment.
Prior to joining Dreiling, Judy had a career in education, teaching learning disabled and autistic children. She is an alumna of the University of Miami, and has served as a board member of several prominent national and local charitable organizations.

Sandra Flood joined Dreiling Medical Management in January, 2004 as Chief Operating Officer. She has overall responsibility for managing day-to-day operations of the chronic and acute dialysis programs; contract negotiations with national vendors and third party payors; feasibility analysis and clinical program planning; site development and oversight of new unit construction and renovations; developing budgets and monitoring ongoing operations; compliance with all local, state and federal government regulations; and liaison with and recruitment of physician partners.

Sandy has more than three decades of experience in the health care field; first as a dialysis staff nurse and nurse manager of Yale –New Haven Hospital’s dialysis program and then in a variety of management positions including director of planning at University of Connecticut Health Center, senior healthcare planner at The Lehigh Valley Hospital Center in Allentown, PA, executive director of The Northeast Regional Radiation Oncology Network, Manchester, CT, and director of the renal care centers for both Waterbury Hospital, Waterbury, CT and The Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ.

She earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Skidmore College. She is a clinical nurse specialist in nephrology and cardiovascular nursing earning a masters of science in nursing and a masters of business administration both from Yale University. In addition, Sandy is a board certified diplomate in The American College of Healthcare Executives. She is a longstanding member of the American Nephrology Nurses Association where she has served in a variety of volunteer positions including national secretary on the Board of Directors and chair of publications. She is also a member of the National Renal Administrators Association, Sigma Theta Tau national nursing honor society and a former board member of the Connecticut chapter of the National Kidney Foundation. Sandy was also a member of the team that developed the first dialysis reimbursement guide funded by Amgen which was distributed to all dialysis programs in the United States and participated in its revision a few years later.

Sandy brings to Dreiling Medical Management Corp. that unique combination of clinical expertise and astute business skills in all aspects of health care management. She understands the unique concerns and needs of all healthcare practioners and can incorporate those needs into a model that is not only cost effective but also embodies the highest standards of care for the patient.


RICHARD DREYFUS, M.D.
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Richard Dreyfus, M.D., joined Dreiling in 2000 as Director of Development. He is responsible for expanding operations into new service areas, establishing new dialysis units and recruiting physician partners and directors.

Richard is a Board-Certified Nephrologist, internist and toxicologist. He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, International Society of Nephrology, Renal Physicians Association and the American Academy of Clinical Toxicology.
In addition to being in a private nephrology practice for more than 20 years, Richard has served as president of the medical staff and chief of the Division of Nephrology at Saint Vincent Health Center in Erie, Pennsylvania. He served as director of Saint Vincent’s Acute Hemodialysis Unit, Poison Control Center and its Northwest Plasma Exchange Laboratory. He also held the position of medical director at Renal Care of Erie, a 28-station outpatient hemodialysis unit.

Richard earned an A.B. degree in biology from Lafayette College, Easton, Pennsylvania; M.D. degree from State University of New York (S.U.N.Y.),
Downstate Brooklyn, New York; completed his internship at General Rose Memorial Hospital, University of Colorado Medical Center; residency at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence; and fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital and Brown University School of Health Professionals.
